Company makes ‘rock solid’ donation to courthouse restoration project

Acting on behalf of Martin Marietta’s Central Division, Natural Resources Director Neil Grant presented the Friends of the Madison County Courthouse with a $5,000 donation that will go toward the restoration of the historic Iowa structure. 

Pledging a total of $15,000 for the project, which has been dubbed Legacy in Stone,  the $5,000 March donation will be followed by equivalent donations in both 2023 and 2024, Grant said. 

“The notion that the work we do today will have an enduring impact drives all of us at  Martin Marietta,” he said, “so we view this courthouse effort as an excellent opportunity to strengthen our community for generations to come.”
