The Snyder Quarry is located 5.5 miles west of Snyder, OK on Hwy 62B and produces brownish red and dark gray granite, which can be considered the hardest, and most durable crushed granite on the OK, KS and TX DOT qualified source lists. The Quarry is rail served by BNSF and produces a full spectrum of sizes from riprap and rock filter dam products to microsurfacing/slurry seal screenings and manufactured sand. The Bulk specific gravity is 2.60 with absorption of 0.4%.
