Employees Lend Helping Hands to the Hungry
During the holiday season, Three Rivers Quarry in Smithland, Kentucky, collected 6,000 pounds of food (an average of more than 50 pounds per employee) to benefit the Livingston County Helping Hands food bank.
For the second consecutive year, “Team Ratchet” (pictured), composed primarily of maintenance employees, won the quarry’s friendly competition (and a fried turkey potluck dinner) to see which of four employee teams could collect the most food.
